How, then, can they call on him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about him? And how can they hear without a preacher? Romans 10:14
Dear Kēryssō
As we navigate our roles in ministry, we know that our church culture will either be managed by us—or it will manage us.
Our task is clear: We must create a culture that reflects the results we seek. Not just goals, but tangible results.
Every church has a culture, whether by design or by default. Here’s how to ensure we’re intentional:
Cultivate Accountability
A culture of accountability is essential. It empowers each person to take ownership of the mission, knowing they’re vital to the church's impact.
Connect Every Leader
Culture change requires active participation from everyone. It’s not just up to senior leaders. Each person must see their role in shaping and sustaining the church’s culture.
Clarify Expected Results
Confusion about what we’re aiming to achieve is common. But when expectations are clear, momentum builds, and people know exactly where to focus. Results-oriented clarity reduces the tendency to settle for the status quo and fuels confidence in God’s direction.
A quote to reflect on: "Confusion kills the momentum of any culture change effort because no one feels confident about which direction to move."[1]
As you lead your congregations, remember clarity breeds momentum. Let’s commit to managing our culture together, ensuring it reflects the values of accountability, engagement, and purpose.
